RIVERWOODS, Ill., March 30, 2001 Discover Financial
Services, a business unit of Morgan Stanley Dean
Witter & Co. (NYSE:MWD), today announced a
new membership program designed to help small
businesses save money. DiscoverSM
BizPerksSM will be offered to hundreds
of thousands of merchants who are part of the
Discover Business Services network.
For
a small monthly fee, Discover BizPerks members
will get substantial members only savings on a
variety of products and services offered by Discover
BizPerks Partners, and will accumulate Discover
BizPerks Points, redeemable annually for a cash
credit. Current partners include Sprint®,
Airborne Express®, EarthLinkTM,
TradeOut®, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter
Online, and Switchboard®. This list
will continue to grow as Discover Business Services
expands the program. As an incentive to join
the program, participating merchants will be offered
substantially lower promotional fees for Discover
Card transactions through the end of 2001.
